We are now selecting delegates to participate in the MISS SAN ANTONIO TEXAS & MISS SAN ANTONIO TEXAS TEEN pageants!
THE PAGEANT can be exciting and entertaining for you and any of your family and friends who attend. It will be a very memorable experience, and could lead to new opportunities in your life. The winners receive a prize package and the opportunity to compete in the 2018 MISS TEXAS USA® or 2018 MISS TEXAS TEEN USA® pageants!
The pageant is designed to be an excellent vehicle for advancing your career and personal goals. A training and personal development workshop is included in the entry fee and is designed to help delegates prepare for the pageants and for life! It will be a time of personal growth and maturity that is priceless!
Diverse Dreams has had numerous finalists and semi finalists at the state level. Although it is not a requirement, participation in a local/regional pageant prior to competing at the state level can be very beneficial. Additionally, if you win the Miss San Antonio Texas or Miss San Antonio Texas Teen pageant your entry fee to the 2018 MISS TEXAS USA® or 2018 MISS TEXAS TEEN USA® pageants is covered!
BECOME A DELEGATE TODAY! If you live or attend school in the following counties you are eligible to compete in the Miss San Antonio Texas or Miss San Antonio Texas Teen pageant: Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, DeWitt, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Gonzales, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Lavaca, Medina, Uvalde and Wilson. In addition, you must be single, never married, never pregnant or given birth to a child, and a United States citizen between the ages of 14 – 27! Specific age requirements are below:
MISS delegates must be 18 years of age and under 28 years of age on January 1, 2018.
TEEN delegates must be at least 14 years of age and under 19 years of age before January 1, 2018.
AWARDS are part of the pageant experience. The winners’ prize package includes their entry fee to the 2018 MISS TEXAS USA® or 2018 MISS TEXAS TEEN USA® state competitions. Additional awards will be presented in the Miss and Teen divisions to: Physical Fitness, Miss Congeniality and Miss Photogenic. One delegate in the entire competition will receive the Peoples’ Choice Award.
PAGEANT COMPETITION is based on three categories: Interview, Physical Fitness and Evening Gown. The judges will be looking for an all around winner. The winners may not score the highest in any one category of competition yet she will score high in all categories possessing intelligence, personality, poise and beauty. There is no talent competition and no experience is necessary.
WARDROBE – each delegate is required to provide her own wardrobe:
- Personal Interview – you should wear a fashion forward outfit. A good guide line would be to ask yourself what you would wear for a press conference, television interview or a luncheon held in your honor. Shoes should be classic and sophisticated. You should wear minimal jewelry and ‘daytime’ makeup. Your hair should be clean and well groomed. Business attire is not mandatory. No cocktail dresses, hats, scarves or gloves.
- Opening Production Number – Specific requirements will only be given to registered contestants. You will not be judged in the opening production number.
- Swimsuit – All Contestants: Specific requirements will only be given to registered contestants. Teen delegates will compete in fitness wear. Miss delegates will compete in swimwear.
- Evening Gown – there are no specific requirements regarding the evening gown. All types of gowns are permitted. The gown should fit you well and compliment your own coloring, physical features and age. Shoes and jewelry should complement your evening gown.
PHOTOS – each registered contestant will need to provide 2 color photos: 1 – 5 x 7 color head shot photo and 1 – 8.5 x 11 full length (head to toe, standing) color photo. Detailed requirements and more information given to registered contestants only.
PROGRAM BOOK AD PAGES – Each delegate is required to sell one full page color ad for $200.00. Additional information and tips on how to sell the ad is given to registered contestants only.
ENTRY FEE – the entry fee is $400.00 (payment options available) and includes an important pageant training workshop and opening number dress. It also helps cover some of the pageant expenses, such as the Pageant venue, advertising, music, administrative expenses, and many other expenses involved in producing a pageant of this caliber. Payments can be made by PayPal, Money Order or Cashier’s Checks made payable to Diverse Dreams, LLC. No business or personal checks are allowed.
GETTING STARTED – to become a contestant in this year’s pageant complete the on line application https://mtsatx.com/apply-now/ and attach a recent photo. Your photo does not need to be professional as it is for our records only. Once we have received and approved your on line entry you are eligible to become a contestant! You are an official contestant once your entry deposit is received.
We are looking for young ladies who want to represent their community, city and state. Delegates should understand that there is a responsibility to the pageant system, sponsors, community and the state of Texas. Delegates will instantly become role models simply by competing in the pageant. This can be a wonderful experience with memories to last a lifetime!
